Tested 4 different purchased fans, two mains 240V AC and two 12V silent fans and compared their performance in various respects (acoustic noise/vibration, mounting scheme, interference in the image, cooling power, ...) and finally installed the best one. Totally reversible mod, keeps the case cool, and just works. Will do the same thing to my second TV22 (an early Mk2 with EF91s) without thinking twice.
