Ultimate DAC 90a dial lamps?
I just bought a couple of unrestored DAC90as at our local auction for £18. One had a cracked cabinet, so I am making one good one from the two. I hoped the cracked one would give me the now unobtainable dial lamps, but no, a separate 12 Volt transformer had been fitted to run two 6.5v bulbs! Cor!!

Now that's just plain cheating!
By the way, what was done to complete the old circuit then Nigel? Andy

I guess the lamp shunt resistor was simply left in place.

Yes, the old shunt resistor was left in place. This will have reduced the heater current somewhat, but it is a small proportion of the total series dropper resistance.
