Denon 825 Cassette Player. (Actually a DRS-640).
Hi,
I have the opportunity to acquire one of the above in very good serviced condition, at a very reasonable cost. I have no experience of this machine, anyone know if it's any good? Would welcome feedback from anyone who has knowledge of it. Many Thanks. |

Re: Denon 825 Cassette Player. (Actually a DRS-640).
I don't own one of these, but it seems to be a late period mid market deck. This may mean it doesn't need the usual old deck capstan belt replacement (yet). Denon cassette decks are generally well regarded (my main deck is one, a DRM-500).
One potential problem is that this deck has an unusual front loading mechanism, which allows it to be styled like a CD player. This adds mechanical complexity and may make it more difficult to service. I've never worked on one though. |
