Default CT160/CT38/RA17 Mains Connector wiring

Can anyone please tell me the correct wiring for the L-N-E wires of the Plessey 3-way, Type 'F' mains connector on these units? (Avo Electronic Multimeter CT38, Avo Valve Tester CT160, Racal RA17 communications receiver).

I have ordered a replacement panel plug/cable socket pair made by Weald Electronics and sold by Lane Electronics (LMF series) but anticipate that the terminals will be marked with a simple A-B-C or 1-2-3 sequence.

My mains lead is wired thus:

A = Live
B = Neutral
C = Earth

Many thanks to Ian (Hermit6345), Wavesolder, Newlite4 and Top Cap from whose contributions I now have the connectors and information I need.

I have drawn this information together in the two attachments for future reference - they are marked "draft" for the present and, if any of the contributors would care to check for errors, perhaps they can be retained more permanently with the 'draft' mark deleted.

I though it best to carry the earth wire out to the cable clamp of the metal socket shell as well as connecting it to socket 'C'. This was done by stripping the mains cable to a length long enough to allow the earth wire insulation to be 'ringed round' and the insulation slipped forward far enough to make a bare tail without cutting the wire. In this way there is no risk of a false sense of security from a visible earth which had become detached inside. (The cable was of course tested).

The connector parts were supplied by F C Lane Electronics Ltd www.fclane.com who are agents for Weald Electronics, http://www.wealdelectronics.com, the makers of these connectors. The most relevant Weald catalogue pages are 10 & 48.

I do not remember previously dealing with F C Lane but their service was excellent. My 'phone call on Friday at lunch time was answered by a helpful and knowledgeable young lady and the connectors were delivered with Saturday morning's post.
