Racal 9917-9918. Part of the 9910 series from 1984/5. I attach a extract from the Racal catalogue and specification, which suggests that the 9917A and 9918 are virtually identical.
I have the 9921, a later extension of the 9918 with a channel C which goes up to mid Ghz and in a wider case, to accomodate the extra channel and divider panel.
I think that "k04bb" has the 9918 manual on his invaluable web site. It is sometimes a bit touchy to download. If you are stuck, then I will scan my copy of the 9918/9921 but there will be some delay as it is a very large manual. Though not a much as the two years search you mention.
