Default Nordmende tv cabinet ressurection

It was all rotten and packed with woodworm, it crumbled on the way home on my car's boot, I paid 25€ for it. Unfortunately I needed the CRT for another set and the flyback is bad.

I removed the damaged pieces and carved new ones from old wood from scrap pieces of furniture. I carved the bottom and front frame and made all the joinery freehand with an angle grinder because i don't have woodworking tools. The TV has a printed finish and the wood grains did not match, I painted it dark brown and reproduced the gold striping.

Hello welcome to the forum, You have done a brilliant job on the cabinet. We have a saying here, All the gear and no idea. Meaning with all the tools and a shed full of wood some could not achieve what you have achieved with just an angle grinder.

Hi john.
i am no master of anything but i agree, it came up nice, and if i showed the process lets say on youtube for example ,people would scream and shout about the unconventional tools and methods used.. the result however is better than it was , for sure
thank you for your words
if anyone has a parts chassis for sale i would be happy to buy

Yes, I concur with John, that's very impressive work, with or without the "proper" tools.
