Default Chipped Bakelite.

Hi,

I have a black Bakelite radio with a couple of chips in it - not very visible, but I want to fix them.

What's the best material to rebuild this? Black Araldite 2031 or something similar, then sand and polish?

I suspect black is much easier than brown as matching colour is easier (!) but I'd like it to be pretty much invisible when polished with Paste #5 and some beeswax.

Not done this before so don't want to mess it up.

Thanks

This forum has converted me to Milliput Superfine.

It's wonderful stuff and is available in black though, up to now, I've only used "white" Milliput. It can be trimmed with a craft knife and sanded down to give a very smooth finish.

Regards, Lee.

Thanks - ordered some black off Amazon. I'll see how that goes.
