Rugby was a large warehouse and and distribution depot during the late 80's/90's. No manufacturing. In the early 'noughties', Grundig went into insolvency and was taken over jointly by Alba Plc and Beko. The Mill Road building then had Alba on the outside for a while, it was eventually vacated and unrelated businesses now occupy the building.

Grundig is a far eastern owned name now, being used on a whole range of budget domestic appliances including washing machines, the same as we see 'Bush' on similar products too.

Thanks for the mention of Rugby, I have been trying to remember which town the building could be seen from the train. Didn’t know what it was used for but you couldn’t miss the size of the sign.
I used to see it going to London.
