Hitachi SDT400 Music Centre
In next couple of weeks i will receive the above. Ive read the threads on here and wondered if anyone has a service manual pdf. Anyone know who made the bass unit in the speakers? Any info would be helpful. Ta.

Re: Hitachi SDT400 Music Centre
The 6.5" full range drive units will be Far Eastern OEMs of very average quality and are by far the weakest link in this unit. Ideally. use a pair of decent UK made 1970/1980s Hi Fi speakers - and not these.

Re: Hitachi SDT400 Music Centre
Hi
I'm almost certain that this music centre had a tie in with Goodmans in the UK, around 1978. There was a Goodmans branded version, well reviewed in the HiFi press at the time, and the speakers supplied were made in the U.K. by Goodmans, for Hitachi. |
