Default Thinning out the projects

Hi All,
Recently I haven't had time to make a start on many of my projects and the ones I have aren't leaving me much time to sort the rest. I've decided to start ridding myself of some in order to fund the rest of the restorations of others and clear the loft out!

Firstly is a 1950s Philips 17TG100U? Television, I made a bit of a start on it but I really didn't get far before it was put on the back burner, I am not too interested in getting this one working if I'm honest. I think it needs 1x loptx valve too. Other than that it is nice and complete other than the back cover 35

Portable EAR record player, I ended up fitting a Kemo mono amp and modern loudspeaker as the amp was bust as was the original speaker. It is pretty much there but it does need a bit more work, the cosmetics are nice. Original amp can be included with it. 20

1960s tubular extension speaker, with original box and poly bag. The plug has been cut from the end wire but I am unsure of this is actually used as the condition looks NOS. 5

Bush record player, in fairly good shape but will require restoration, the turntable is missing the top plate from the auto record size mech and plinth screws. Other than that it is complete and powers up although it will need a cartridge too. 15

I would prefer collection on these items as I struggle to find any time for packaging and trips to the post office although I may make an exception for the tubular speaker if anyone is that interested. I'm sure there will be more so I will update the thread as I come across them.

Hi John,

I believe it is the RP50 model, I can confirm later when I am at home. It certainly is a valve amp, seperate bass and treble controls as well as ex. Ls and headphone outputs to the front.

Cheers
Bren

Hi Bren
Thank you for your reply.
Sorry to mess you about, but I was hoping it was a Bush model with a more superior amp, so I have decided to withdraw from purchasing.
Cheers

Pm replied to Mick! John, that's no worries, it is quite a simple amp but still capable of a good sound reproduction!

So that's the speaker reserved for Mick, the rest is still available and I shall have a further look later for more projects.

Hi Greg,
Yes the philips is still available, I must admit the photo of it in the murky loft doesn't do much justice but it is in nice condition and a good candidate for restoration.

Cheers

Philips television is reserved for Greg, leaving the EAR and Bush record players the last available.

A couple of more items today....

Firstly a Wilcox Gay recordio machine, capable of cutting 33,45 and 78rpm records. I ordered this from the US but it had been terribly damaged in transit. It needs a head but other than that it is complete. The motor will need new rubber grommets too as they have perished. I have tried the radio side and it works fine, temporarily connecting a crystal head it sent a signal to it and played back records. The chassis is all nice and straight so maybe good for a custom case? 20

Secondly a Sobell tape recorder, plays back at 3 3/4 ips. Tried it and it can play but it will need servicing as ff and rev functions struggle. Should clean up nicely and make a nice little portable. 10

Hi,
Could I be considered for the EAR record player please. Would need it posting though. If you could send me a PM with a postage quote and the best way to pay you, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Peter

I have also found a Mazda CRM123 12" tube in the loft. Untested but looks okay, I've been keeping it as a spare but I doubt it will ever get used. 30

Jasonkit FM tuner, 1950s? Again untested but looks complete I also have the paperwork/manual for it. Missong a control knob but the rest is all there and nicely built. 10

Marconi/HMV tv screen surround for many of their 10" 1950s sets. Bakelite. Good condition, a couple of scrathces but will clean up nicely. 5

Dansette amplifier, working condition although I seem to have lost the EL84. If I can find it then it is included. 15 I am willing to post this along with the Jasonkit tuner and screen surround.
