Default Philips VR2020/VR2022

I think this is Betamax? But is there any interest? As I have some bits that need a good home.

It's actually the Philips V2000 system, which (technically) was probably the best of the home video systems.

I am sure there will be interest here, what do you have?

I sold a large number of these in 1982/3, mostly the Pye 20VR22. This was similar in appearance to the original Philips VR2020 that first appeared around 1979/80 as the successor to the Philips N1700. Technically, they were very very advanced but there were some issues with reliability. Several of the machines that I sold required replacement video head drums during the warranty period. Having said that, I still have a Pye 20VR22 in regular use after 37 years.

I have a few of these systems Pye Grundig and Philips , all lovely machines in their day however I don't remember selling many of them , just the odd Philips unit on rental .
Parts are always worth saving so there will be interest for sure.

I'm not sure whether I already started a topic on it here, but I collect serial numbers for each N15xx/N17xx/VR2xxx model in hopes of compiling an overview of production numbers and period. If you'd like to contribute, could you send the full model number + serial number of these machines? Or a sharp picture of the type label?

The complete machine I have is as follows-VR2020/05 2012235 with also the numbers WD55 110A on the label. I have the front panel and most of the boards of its 'brother' machine, no idea of serial sorry.

I have unearthed a Pye 20VR22 that came in for repair around 1989 and was never collected! I'll take a picture of the label for you, Maarten.
Would anyone be interested in it - if so I'll dust it off and put it on the 'Offered' section.

@sonnith: thanks! I actually didn't have a VR2020/05 on file yet. Yours was manufactured in week 10 of 1981, 55th design revision already (it took them a lot of work to get the first generation working just right).

@Welsh Anorak: much appreciated, please in https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=146344 or by PM

@AC/HL: thanks! I wasn't sure anymore, got a lot going on here.
