The 220uF caps would be better. In view of your previous experience get the seller to try one out before you buy them

Have a good Christmas and let us all know how you get on with the indicator.

Hello !
You know what ? With good components, it works ;-)
I've wired the version with 100µF capacitors. And the 24V 30mA bulb. It's nice ! The bulb wire gets light red. So not so bright but enough to be seen. It has a smooth transition from off to lighted. so it serve also as a fine tuning indicator !
(there is a slight discrepancy between the EM87 and the stereo indicator. If the EM87 is at the strongest signal, the stereo indicator is not as bright as it could be. you've to alter the tuning a little to light the stereo indicator as bright as it would go. This was known because the shuffle was showing this to the ears, not to the eyes ...)
Thanks a lot to all of you !
And enjoy these ending year festivities !

Hi George

That's excellent news. You don't want an excessively bright indicator but if it's not bright enough you could change to the 220u caps to give a little extra brightness.
