Thanks for that Taz, from that review it did extremely well to survive in to the mid 80's. It always gave a good picture and only had a couple of call-outs! I'm sure it was rented, I think my dad must be mistaken.

I've had a look at the KB 'Royal star' on Des's web site. It might not be a Royal star but I have to agree with Steve P that it is a Kolster Brandes, the styling is identical - now to find the model!
