Default Replacing PCF200's

Morning all,

Just after a bit of advice really, I want to replace the PCF200's in my Philips K70 and would like to know if any setting up of any kind should be done after replacement or not.

Cheers
Lee

Hi Lee.

Personally, I would just replace them and see what the picture is like. If the grey scale is slightly off then you could make a minor adjustment but otherwise just go for it.

From Mike.

I second Mikey's advice. The G6 also uses PCF200s of course. I found on swapping them around the grey scale was well off, but putting them back in the original order restored good results, that is when first fitted and the grey scale set up.

If the grey scale and performance is ok do your PCF200s really need replacing?

I'm with Mikey here. Just change them (if you feel you need to!) and switch on.

Cheers,

I must admit that when G6s and K70s were a bit newer, PCF200s hardly ever needed replacing, unlike their compatriots, the PCL84 (although in fairness, that wasn't always the valve's fault).
