Default Radio ID please?

Hi - just curious - being a collector of battery valve portables, I saw this radio on ebay and it has me puzzled as to the make and model - does anybody know? The auction is over now - it sold for £50 - more than I was prepared to spend...
The description said it was waterproof - I can't see how!

Thanks
Andy

I think it is an EVER READY SKY CAPTAIN [1961] the last valve portable from ER. John.

Thanks all! I have never seen one before. I rather like the look of it - I'll have to keep an eye out for one!

Ahaa - just looked in Radio! Radio! - didn't think to look in there before - page200

My first valve portable was an Ever Ready Sky Baby which I bought at auction in 1965 for 3/-. I used it right up until 1970 (when I could afford the battery) - then switched to an even older Pye - 1930's Baby Q, which saw me through University - I bought that from Notting Hill market for 2/-. Been hooked on them ever since!

Cheers and thanks again!
