Sounds of the Falklands Conflict - Vulcan XM607 Chariots Of Fire
Anyone who's read Rowland White's book "Vulcan 607" will know the story of the music Chariots Of Fire being played through the Vulcan's intercom system after the last in-flight refuel post the bombing of Port Stanley's runway.
I have approximately re-created what this would have sounded like using an A1961 Intercom Amplifier as used in the Vulcan and G-type cloth flying helmet. I'm missing the ambient engine noise, but with some imagination, you get to hear roughly how it would have sounded! Story and recordings here: http://www.scottbouch.com/falklands-...ts-of-fire.htm Cheers, Scott.
