VR35 valve
Hi
I came across this valve in my collection. Can anyone tell me what radio(s) used this type? It's a double pentode with a 2 volt filament. |

Don't know about military use bit its. QP21 or 240QP in Cossor coding and certainly Cossor used in at least two models the 485 and the 583 as a QPP output valve it gave higher power output for less average HT consumption at the expense of higher LT consumption. Very commonly used by many manufacturers of battery sets in the late 1930s

The VR35, along with a VR21, is used in the A1134 and A1134A intercom amplifiers used in the Avro Lancaster and the other heavy bombers of WW2 fame.

The Nation Valve Museum states that the VR35 is the Military version of the Osram QP21.
