Default Beolit 400

Hi all just bought a beolit 400 off eBay (parts only) mainly for the speaker luckily the speaker in a good one, thought I would try putting batteries in and seeing what was wrong with it and the only thing I can find is that the volume is very low with the slider at max
Anyone suggest anything ?

Some of the Beolit-400's used BC159 & BC148B Lock-fit transistors in the LF-section, transistors TR6 and TR7.
That could present a problem as is well-known.
Check the DC voltages given in the schematic diagram attached.
Any voltage off could obviously indicate that something is wrong in that stage.
Also consider that electrolytic capacitors deteriorate over years.
I would check capacitors #46 and #59.
