This autumn's BVWS Biggleswade Meet & Auction will run on September 15th (2024).
There will be an auction, and Mike Barker will publish details nearer the date. I'll be at RWB on July 7th if you have any questions. Details appeared in the Summer BVWS Bulletin, and are also available via the events pages on the BVWS website: www.bvws.org.uk. The Weatherley Centre (SG18 8JH) has off-street parking right by the hall, and and free on-street parking very close by. It is located only a mile from either of the two Biggleswade exit roundabouts on the A1. Train services are excellent (under an hour from London), and the station is a 12 minute walk from the hall. Doors open 0930 and the auction starts at 1230. Only BVWS members can bid in the auction but you can join on the day! STALLS: If you want to book tables, the printable booking form is downloadable from: https://www.bvws.org.uk/ (link appears on the front page). You can also book via email with bank transfer. My email is at the bottom of page 3 of the latest Bulletin, or PM me here. If you want a specific table location then please book with details as early as possible, and I will do what I can. I normally put repeat bookings in the same place if possible, unless you request otherwise. (Biggleswade is normally a sell-out so please book early to avoid disappointment!). I hope to see lots of you at the Meet in September. all the best -Jeremy

Future Dates: I have now booked the Biggleswade Meet with the Weatherley Centre through until 2027. The March Meet with AGM (no auction) will be on the fourth Sunday, and the September Meet with Auction will be on the second Sunday. Now we have a pattern established, you can put future events in your diaries.
23 March 2025 14 September 2025 22 March 2026 13 September 2026 28 March 2027 12 September 2027 Tables For Sept: There are only about 12 tables left for the September 2024 event so please speak up if you want a stall. We have about 4 fewer stalls when there is an auction, as the stage and display area needs that space. Paper form on www.bvws.org.uk front page. Or Email equivalent info to Secretary as per the Bulletin. Or PM me here. Payment via cheque with sae for paper forms. Payment via bank transfer for electronic requests. See you in September. all best -Jeremy

Just 12 days to go!
Everything is running to plan and we are all looking forward to another good show. Parking: If you can find room in the carpark behind the Centre itself, please use it. Once that's full, please park on the road (lots of room) and come back to collect your stuff at the end of the show. Parking on the rest of the school grounds is unfortunately not allowed, and you may be booked. Please show your membership card at the door to get a drinks voucher. Auction details will be out nearer the date. I'll send out stallholder info this week to those who booked via mail. Email bookings will get their info when they arrive. Looking forward to seeing lots of you there on the 15th. -Jeremy Only 3 tables left now, so please contact me asap if you want one.

Is there going to be an auction list for Biggleswade meet this time? I am trying to decide if i am going to go to on Sunday. The reason I ask is that the Rover P5 owners club are holding their national rally on the same day so I have a conflict of interests.
Usually three of us share a car and my friends are asking if I am going or not as if I am it is my turn to drive. The contents of the auction is usually a big decider for me as to if I go to BVWS events or not. Normally the list is on the BVWS website in advance of the event but the event is only five days away. Rich.

Hello all,
As usual we will be running the Bring & Buy stall for the BVWTM. It'll include commission sales (10% to BVWTM) and we will sell donations you make on the day. If you have more than 2 or 3 items for commission sale, please would you fill out a form (attached). We will assign a letter on the day. This will be a big help as we are usually quite stretched in the first few hours. Many thanks and see you on Sunday. Steve Beck |

I have just been informed by Mike Barker that the auction catalogue which will shortly be posted will have quite a few gaps at this stage. All currently registered items will be listed, but he is also collecting a large quantity of interesting items on Saturday. These new items will be lotted up and added to the auction list that day, too late for web publication. The final printed full auction list will be available from Rob at the IT "hub" at Biggleswade on the day. It will be a very full list!

I just had a table cancellation, so if you want to shift some stuff at Biggleswade this Sunday, drop me a PM.
We can sort out payment on the day. Just £10 more than normal entry. -Jeremy

The catalogue is now on the BVWS website and attached here.
Placeholders for the lots Mike is collecting tomorrow are shown as "Arrival on the day!" and it will not be possible to update the catalogue here or on the website before the event. |

My mate Mick and I enjoyed the day bought a few things I don't need from the B&B but didn't stay for the auction. Can anyone tell me what the 'Round' Ekco A22 in the square wooden case went for please ?

I would like to add my/our thanks to Jeremy and the BVWS team that made the day possible, there is a very large amount of work in doing this.
Our Trust the BTTT (Broadcast Television Technology Trust) had a good fundraising day, and I would like to thank Chris for his help on the day and those who donated things for us to sell. All being well we shall have a couple of tables at the RWB swapmeet on the 8th December.

I would also like to give my thanks to Jeremy, Mike and the rest of the team for making it a great day out. I would strongly recommend trying a visit at the next event on the 23rd March 25.
