I have the v7a which is like the v5a with a tone control, and a slightly different tuning scale. The very slim profile which the internal madness facilitates means that it fits nicely on the window sill in the conservatory. It had been previously restored so I had very little to do although it would benefit from a new speaker cloth. Picture below

Hi Bob,

I'll give you details of mine [later] - I have a DAC90 [and 90A] of course .... great sets but: they use a dropper/get hot; burn their backs off; warm-up the curtains; and ......... are they really as stylish [or stylish at all!] as a Phillips 'Theaterette' eh?

Nothing was broadcast on or by these (or any other) receivers. Lots was of course broadcasted at them and some may have been heard on them.
