Default McMichael Model 502

First time poster.

I have inherited the radiogram above and simply want to know if it is worth anything to anyone or if it is just junk.

Thanks

Welcome Paul,

Your set is from around Sept 1950, one of our forum moderators compiled this guide which hopefully will advise you of it's worth.

If this is from the 50's, the 502 is a console radio and better than the average with a PP output. There will almost certainly be interest but it won't be of huge value.

If it's a radiogram as the OP states, it should have a record changer, Garrard RC72 and will have an Osram L77 where the table top & console will not, but that would make then make it a 504/5A

Pic attached shows table and console valve line-up

As usual E-bay is your best bet to achieve your best price have a look on there search "radiogram" all sorts of prices and all sorts of years represented. A truisum, "There is always a buyer" you can relist until it meets a price agreeable to you and them.

Sadly not worth a lot, as with most 50s radiograms but as a McMichael collector I'd be interested, although I'm a long way away in Suffolk....

I have a McMichael 502AC console radio version.
Looks beautiful for a 1950s radio, and with pushpull output and a big 10" speaker sounds superb.
