Metamec Sunburst clock transistor not working
Hi,
I have recently inherited a Metamec sunburst clock with a transistor mechanism however it doesn't seem to run. I wonder if anyone out there has any suggestions on how to repair or replace this so that the clock can run once more? Thanks! Holly |

Re: Metamec Sunburst clock transistor not working
Hi Holly,
Welcome to the forum! Can you upload a photo of the movement (mechanism)? I'm wondering if it's the same movement as one I have here, if so there will be a little start - stop lever, give that a flick to the start position and see if the balance wheel begins to tick over, and if it has a seconds hand if that also starts moving, and if it does start, how long it goes for before giving up. Also check the battery contacts are clean and not corroded. Regards, Lloyd |

If you can’t repair the clock unit there are new mechanisms available that should fit, you may have to change the hands as well though. Usually less than £5, probably cheaper available
