Default Dual Tone generator for SSB

Hi Peeps... Thought you might be interested in this little box..a Two tone sine wave generator for setting up SSB exciters and PA's. I cannot claim originality for the schematic, as it was on the net.. but it has been modified. The box was scratch built from 2.5mm Styrene sheet.
To ensure a reasonably linear sinewave the lower base bias resistor is trimmed with a parallel resistor, depending on the gain of the device. A series resistor is also placed in the VR top leg to equalize the outputs at max rotation.

Do let us know what your third order IMD is like from the finished TX.

(Many boring hours spent chasing better than 35dB down on the individual tones on solid state "linear" amps in the early '80s)

Chris.. it will be a while yet...something not quite right in the modulator/audio preamp..its seems to be losing the 1380 hz...and I know the bandpass filter is ok 300 - 3 khz.
