Default Philips N2400 cassette player: right channel weak

Hello

Im new to this forum and not so familiar with electronics so came here to ask some advice with my cassette player. It's A Philips N2400 (dated 26.11.1970) and otherwice it's OK but right channel is really weak. Also you can hear small snap time after time from right channel and when turning volume up it weakens a bit and becomes more frequent.

I changed new belts and motor is running fine. Also took off and cleaned record and play switch. When playing tape and moving a bit that switch it doesnt affect much atleast not improving sound. Volume and other knobs seems to work fine. Left channel works OK. Also changed speakers and cords to eliminate those out. Problem must be inside player and its electronics... but I dunno how to find where it is. Can someone help me with this, please?

That player looks so nice to my eye and fits nicely besides my TT which is Philips GA212 from same period (this needed only new belts) So would like to get this cassette player also working again.

I have service manual downloaded also but it doesn't say much to me and it doesn't say the difference between components. Changed one capacitor which was loose but it didn't help. Now I'm stuck. Help me please.

Hello and welcome!

You need to narrow this down. Make a recording and play it back on a known good tape deck, ideally one with VU meters, and check the level.
