KB Rhapsody
Anyone know where the orange battery connector wire on a VP31 super eight goes to? It is just hanging from the connector. I would like to re-connect it to somewhere above the pcb if possible, does it go to the speaker? It is the split-rail take off between the two 4.5 volt batteries.

Re: KB Rhapsody
Thanks Bill, it must be connected to the violet wire topside that goes to the socket, this is at the junction of the 390 ohm and the two 200uF.

Re: KB Rhapsody
Thanks Mike, I was planning to renew the orange wire (orig cut short) and take it to the purple wire on the E/P socket (not wishing to remove the chassis) and use two 3xAA holders. I will instead just use a straight 6xAA holder and wire to the existing red/black wires. Radio sounds good on a split 9V supply so will soon have it all wrapped up.
