Default HMV 1614 Auto Radiogram - made in 1951

I require assistance identifying an issue / fixing a Radiogram recently purchased. It is a 1614 auto radiogram as mentioned and only stopped working recently to my knowledge.

I purchased this from a second hand dealer who didn't provide much information if any at all on how to properly handle the radiogram. Regardless, when we got it home it worked for about 20 minutes until we removed the record and left it plugged in, leaving it there for roughly 6 hours until we went to go use it again and it was not working. We are unsure of the issue, and we haven't a clue on vintage restoration.

I am in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and cannot travel further than 40 minutes unfortunately. I doubt that someone can resolve my issue who is also close to Sheffield but may as well try.

I have attached images as I am unsure of the information required.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thankyou!
