Uher 4000 Report Monitor needs repair please - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Hi there, I recently purchased a Uher 4000 report monitor, I have changed the drive belts and purchased a new battery, whilst it fast forward and rewinds it is reluctant to play, it will eventually run at higher speed with a nudge to start, but I don’t think that it is recording or playing, I have done some rudimentary testing, I am look for someone to take on the project and get her up and running, I would like to be able to record of a phono in on the side and play through the output into a mono speaker, so I am looking for help and experience please, I am based in Leicestershire ,
