Re: Anyone tried to fit an OEP (RS 210-6475) OP tx. to a DAC90A?
Not sure that "That's Audio" and "OEP" are actually connected, other than being close to one another geographically.
There is/was a shop in a back street in Old Kidlington which did traditional radio/TV repairs and had some vintage sets in the window, whereas OEP is in an industrial estate down by the canal. N. Last edited by Nickthedentist; 7th Aug 2019 at 2:52 pm. |

Re: Anyone tried to fit an OEP (RS 210-6475) OP tx. to a DAC90A?
Transformer from OEP via That's Audio arrived yesterday and fitted just now.
As Livewire said, it's dimensionally identical and fits the chassis mounting holes perfectly. The results, to my ears, seem just as good as an original transformer. My only minor gripe is that the secondary terminals are widely spaced, whereas the primary ones are close together. The opposite would have resulted in a slightly easier installation in a DAC90A. Looking forward to receiving my rewinds from Ed in due course to complete yet more DAC90As which have been languishing in the workshop for too long. N. |
