Bush VHF81 dial cord - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Can any one help please I have a Bush HMV81 and the tuner string has broken can any one tell me where I might get this from I would be very grateful thanks

I use a single strand out of a polypropylene cord. The orange colour may not be to your taste.

Boat/yacht chandlers will probably have whipping twine in a range of diameters and colours that would do the job.

Bead cord for necklaces from China, velly cheap, velly good, lots of colours on eBay

I've been using this 1mm woven waxed cotton necklace cord for some time, which I mentioned in the link above. It's reallly storng, only costs £1.99 post free for ten Metres (buy three get one free) from a UK supplier, and comes in a range of colours.
