Radar Cathode Ray Tube Reactivator Type 202.
I have been given a Radar type 202 CRT tester and reactivator. It produces the heater volts as requested, but I am unable to get any readings for emission. It appears to have HT, LT and the meter is working on other ranges, but I cannot produce any measurable beam current.
I have the instruction sheet but I just wondered if anybody had a circuit or knew where I could obtain one. Thanks again in advance, Peter |

Re: radar cathode ray tube reactivator type 202
Hi Peter.
I have one of these too, but alas, I have no circuit either to help you! Problems I have had on mine were with dry joints & oxidisation on the wafer switch contacts. The Clear Short push switch became intermittent, disconnecting the meter movement, and a couple of the 20 percent carbon comp resistors had far exceeded their intended tolerance! I hope you get to the bottom of this - I've found mine to be very useful. I'm away from home at the moment, but I'm happy to take voltage readings for comparison with mine if that helps. SimonT.

I also have one of these but have not yet traced the circuit. However that in post #6 is
very similar: https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...ad.php?t=65435 |

Re: Radar Cathode Ray Tube Reactivator Type 202.
One of the best around in my opinion, you need to have the lead connected to pin 6 on the octal plug (also A3) and the final anode to get the beam current emission displayed.
