Bush MB60 tuning dial brass cap
I have a couple of these radios, both with the brass cap missing. Can anybody tell me what the diameter of the brass cap is? I have an idea of what I can use as a replacement, I just need to know the size.
Many thanks, Phil. |

No micrometer to hand, but with a steel rule I make it 2.45cm. The original is as it were straight-sided, ending in a flattened point, rather than smoothly convex as many other knob trims were.

Re: Bush MB60 tuning dial brass cap
So I bought a 25mm brass metric cup core plug from Core Plugs International (part number BMC25)
https://coreplugs.co.uk/25mm-brass-cup-core-plug-bmc25 It's a little bit deeper than needed, so I ground it down on a bench grinder and finished it off with a file. I'm quite pleased with the result, but I don't know how it compares with an original part. Could I have some feedback please from people who own one of these sets and also have the brass cap. Phil. |

Re: Bush MB60 tuning dial brass cap
Looks good to me - I think the shape is quite close to that used on the TR82/97 replica. Here are a couple of photos of the cap on a resident EBM60, which perhaps just about bring out - I didn't find it easy to capture - its gently pointed rather than convex form.
