Default RTT 56B Telephone.

Hello everyone, I've found an old RTT 56 B telephone in my attic whilst clearing out it is in working order, where is the best place to sell this old phone and what kind of value would you put against this rather nice old phone. Does anyone have any history about it as it's not English.

Many thanks

Default Re: RTT 56B Telephone.

It's Belgian; Regie des Telegraphes et Telephones. Made by Bell, Antwerp, they were also common in the Netherlands and Luxembourg and were in common use until relatively recent times. Over the last twenty or so years, the UK collectors market has been somewhat flooded with them.

Value depends on general condition and, if applied, decoration. They can fetch anything from £30 up to £100 on a good day for a very good example, although they're not - and probably never will be - as popular as ex GPO equipment.
