Vintage Audio - Porto, Portugal
On a recent visit I stumbled across this little shop packed to the rafters with radios, radiograms, reel to reels and turntables. There was a CUC220 21" TV there too - specialists in Grundig, but deal with various other makes.
This shop is not exactly central, but it can easily be reached b metro (24 agosto stop) or bus (801). Worth a visit just to look at the great display of vintage kit. They seem to specialize in repair and restoration, a fair few (restored, guaranteed) bits on sale but not cheap. I was on my way to meet someone, so only had time for a brief look around, and did not try to engage anyone there in conversation. They seemed very friendly though. On the same note, the book shop in the more central Rua das Flores called Livraria Chamine da Mota had a few nice music boxes and gramophones on display. If you fancy trying your luck, there's a flea market (Feira da Vandoma) on saturday mornings - some vintage kit could be seen amongst the tat!
