Bush radio
I have just bought a Bush radio. The serial number is 147/25797. Can anyone tell me how to age it from this? Many thanks

Re: Bush radio
Hello and welcome to the forums.
Does the set have a model number, possibly written on the back panel, assuming it's a valve set? Failing that post some pictures.

Nuvistor has the exact date. After a while collecting, browsing, repairing and restoring, it becomes pretty easy to estimate the age of domestic radios that were mass-produced. The 50s-early 60's wooden sets have a generic 'look' about them and still account for a high volume of postings on the forum. They are generally pretty easy to get going.

Re: Bush radio
A word of caution, don’t use the radio without some basic checks on safety for yourself and other items that could damage the radio.
