Default Sanyo VTC 5xxx reel motor replacement?

Hello,

i'm working on a sanyo VTC 5xxx clone (fisher badged) and the reel motor is definitely bad, a carbon brush is totally missing, the other is in bad shape, and collector is worn.
someone know a suitable replacement?

thanks

A donor machine would probably be your best hope. Fortunately, the 5000 series sold well due to its low price. Still quite a few around. I have one here with a bad capstan motor, not got around to finding a donor yet!
