Default Smiths Sectric Repair

I've recently acquired 2 Delhi smiths sectric clocks both of which have various problems.

1) the whole mechanism is loose and the time adjustment stick is all bent almost as if it were a spring

2) the second one is missing the time adjustment stick completely

Would anyone on here have the knowledge to help me repair them?

Hello and welcome!

Could you post some good pics of your clocks?

Some of these did indeed use a springy thing (a bit like curtain wire) for the hand-set linkage, so it may not be as bad as you fear.

Nick.

First clock as you can see the movement is missing the hand adjuster

Not a very good pic, I know, but here's one of my adjusters: just what looks like a length of stout curtain wire/bike brake cable outer.

Finally got some decent pics. Clock 1 painted white... Awful... The whole motor is loose and the time changer stick is all buckled. Any ideas?

Second clock... In fairly good condition except the hand adjuster is missing.. Any ideas of a suitable replacement?
