Smiths Sectric Repair
I've recently acquired 2 Delhi smiths sectric clocks both of which have various problems.
1) the whole mechanism is loose and the time adjustment stick is all bent almost as if it were a spring 2) the second one is missing the time adjustment stick completely Would anyone on here have the knowledge to help me repair them? |

Re: Smiths Sectric Repair
Hello and welcome!
Could you post some good pics of your clocks? Some of these did indeed use a springy thing (a bit like curtain wire) for the hand-set linkage, so it may not be as bad as you fear. Nick. |

Re: Smiths Sectric Repair
First clock as you can see the movement is missing the hand adjuster

Not a very good pic, I know, but here's one of my adjusters: just what looks like a length of stout curtain wire/bike brake cable outer.

Re: Smiths Sectric Repair
Finally got some decent pics. Clock 1 painted white... Awful... The whole motor is loose and the time changer stick is all buckled. Any ideas?

Re: Smiths Sectric Repair
Second clock... In fairly good condition except the hand adjuster is missing.. Any ideas of a suitable replacement?
