Ah yes, I'd forgotten the asbestos inside it!! I haven't re-wired mine, it's still on it's original cloth covered rubber flex! I'll get some dust-masks for when I have to re-wire it.

Be very careful Lloyd,
Disposable dust masks do not have an air tight seal around the face, nor do they have a filter system capable of filtering out asbestos fibres. Cheers

Good idea about doing it outside on a damp day. I have seen some re-useable masks that are ok for use near asbestos, so will get a couple.

picked up another HMV room heater last night, fancied having two chrome instead of one of each...
Don't worry, only one is to be used at a time on my ring main, "stereo" heating would be nice though....if a little expensive! Dan |
