Default AVO 160CT help request

Hello to everyone on the forum

After years of faithful service I’ve encountered a problem with my AVO 160CT. Basically everything lights up, turns on as it should, meter responds correctly etc UNTIL the ’Test’ switch is selected whereby the ma reading is ridiculously high and upon turning the spin wheel to measure mutual conductance, the meter needle remains immobile... The last valve I measured before this happened was a EZ80 rectifier that turned out to be problematic and has probably contributed to damaging something inside the tester. Not being very technical I’m not sure what it might be and would appreciate any suggestions you might have or any pointers to somewhere I might get it repaired.

Many thanks indeed

James:

I have one of these, so if you want some help to sort it out, please drop me a PM. I'm close to Croydon.
