Default ECX10N20 /10P20 Audio Mosfet opinion

Hi Everyone,

I would be interested to hear of anyone who may have used these new ECX10N20 /10P20 Audio Mosfet to replace obsolete devices in existing vintage audio amplifiers. They are recommended by Elliot Sound Product in his hi-fi mosfet amplifier project and I would like to use them in and amplifier that originally uses 2SK225/2SJ81, for which BUZ901/906P were recommended but are them too no longer available .

Any input will be appreciated.

Compare the characteristic curves of the various devices- given similar voltage, Rds(on) and Vg-s(th) ratings if the Id vs Vg-s curves are similar they should work OK.

The devil might be in the detail, though.....

Rod Elliot knows his stuff, if he recommends them then they must be ok.

Andy.
