Default Blaupunkt Golden Series 77

Any help confirming valves and position on the chassis would be much appreciated. I have labelled the chassis with three that I think are correct from the list of the following candidates:
2x EL84
1x ECC83
1x ECC85
1x EAA91
1x EF80
1x EBF80 (or 89 not sure)
1x ECH81 (I think)

Exclamation Re: Blaupunkt Golden Series 77

Hi!
Never saw this unusual radio!
EAA 91 has to be clear.
ECC 83 close to the tone controls, will be connected with the EL 84 by coupling caps.
ECH 81, yes you must have one, closest location to the tuning cap.
Followed by the EF 80.
The EBF 80/89 will be close to the EAA 91.(Because of the "B" diode inside)
EBF 80 and EAA 91 do the job of the EABC 80 which is not part of that set.

If you are anxious, check the cathode and the anode settings of the tubes
and the locations in question.
But I am very sure, O.K. easy said, it is not my radio.

Good luck!

Hi Paul

That's an unusual radio, maybe only made for the South African market. The styling says early 1970's, which is rather late to be still using valves.

A partial trace of the wiring to the valveholders should narrow down the choice of valves. Pin numbering is widely available on the net. Pins number clockwise from underneath, starting from the gap (apologies if this is all known to you).

I wonder what the "Remot-O-Matic" did !

I managed to get confirmation of the valve line-up from a friend who has a similar model. No idea what the "Remot-O-Matic" did.

Oh, I was very close, I was only wrong with the EF 80 and ECH 81.
Do you have a picture of the cabinet?
I would love to see it complete.

Regards,
German Dalek
