Hi. FMarco64
As this is not listed at the top in Instant Downloads This may be of interest to you, I found in my stash there are two C137 Decks. Hope these are of use as I don't have any more info. Good Luck, the first one is normal one.I will send a second post if I can of the C137-A so you can see the differences. Regards gezza123 |

I just put back to play another BSR from the same friend, a C142 which was stuck and just needed a clean and lubrication. |

@gezza123
can you tell if the C173 is a multiplay - using an appropriate spindle, able to keep all records in place without an additional lever? Just out of curiosity, I always saw BSRs with the record placement lever for multiplay. thanks cheers marco |

Hi' marco
Might be some other forum member may be able to help you better than me. I don't know the correct answer, but looking at the drawing I think that with the main spindle (206) that has three claws at top, is slotted in the claws act like an umberella to hold some records unless you want to play a single you use the (207) spindle.these are auto multiplay and fitted to bsr/realistic/C164/C165 with same deck except fitted with different arm units. As I said in my fist post I only found these in my stash, I have never seen this model in before. I knew that I had a C137 but did not know I also had C137-A that was when I found there were two. good luck regards gezza123 |

Here's the deck (if you can call it that) from a Fidelity HF42 “mini player”. It has a BSR motor.
Was a model number assigned to this deck?

Now I suspect the BSR UA15 has been listed already in this thread but today I found an interesting advert in an old US magazine (see attached) saying it was designed by Raymond Loewy (very famous designer, Shell logo, Concorde interiors etc - see http://www.raymondloewy.com/
Thought it would be of interest to people, and explains why it is such a nice looking and unusual deck. Must have cost BSR a fair bit! Any others decks designed by famous industrial designers? Cheers Joe |

Hi all. This is my 1st post, and am looking to identify a recent purchase.
There are no identifying numbers or codes, other than BSR stamped on the motor casing. I believe it may be an MU-14 motor unit, solely based on itS resemblance to an old ad in an Australian magazine from 1955 that l happened upon. I cannot find any info at all on this unit and am hoping someone out there can help. |

I have a BSR McDonald Minichanger PS2649 I have not seen listed here, although the model AA50 appears to be the same changer but in a different housing. Does a forum member know when the PS2649 was made and any links to further information? I have ordered a new cartridge and stylus for it, but the changer mechanism works good. Apparently it it came with a plastic cover, but I don't have that.
Thank you |

Here's a P-189, sold as a BSR McDonald MA 50. This model is a manual deck.

BSR C-185. Umbrella Spindle changer model that is used for the BSR McDonald 2260AG (the overarm counterpart, the C-123R2 is used on the 2260BX). I facelifted mine to cosmetically resemble a P-170. Last two photos is post-facelift, where it resides on a Stack-O-Matic I modded to install it.

I purchased a BSR UA14 a few years back and was wondering what company manufactured the suitcase style console. The label on the inside of the lid has worn away and the only identification I could find is ED 223. I also lifted the deck and didn't find anything except the number 24 written in pencil. After searching on the internet, I couldn't find images of anything similar. Thanks!

It's likely to be from an American manufacturer. BSR were a major exporter of OEM autochangers in the 60s, and they turn up all over the world.

Thanks Paul! I agree that it's probably an American console. I purchased it at a record store in Kansas. Looks like BSR held the lion's share of the world market during that time.
