Default Goblin teasmade d25

Hello all, a short question from a newbie.
I have had my goblin for many years and I love to be woken by a fresh cup of tea. Unfortunately the lid of the kettle is stuck and I can’t seem to open it. Tried a lot of things to open it. But no luck. Is this a known problem?
Perhaps some tips what I can try or would it be best to buy a new kettle?
Thank you for your thoughts, tips and advice in advance 😊
