Default How can you distribute the output from the 30/32 line Standards converter?

This is just a quick question to ask how you can distribute the output from the excellent little Aurora 30/32 line converter to more than one set?

With the regular 405-line version the modulated output can be distributed via an aerial amplifer/distributor, but this obviously isn't possible with this type of signal.

I am presuming that the output is similar to an audio signal? How could this be distributed to drive 2 or 3 Televisors at once?

Thanks go to Darryl for making this special little converter available, it';s totally beyond me how it's even done, but I personally am very grateful that he has made the whole Aurora range available.

All the best,

Peter.

You could try just paralleling the inputs onto the converter output.

Otherwise a simple op-amp buffer should do the job. See my attached scruffy mouse-drawn sketch for an example of what I mean.

Peter,
The output from the converter is the same 75 ohm output used on the other converters. My guess is the input to the Televisor replica is an audio type input, and thus high impedance. As Paul said, you can probably just connect as many of these inputs to the output of the converter as you like.

Paul - Thanks for the diagram, I'm not very familiar with IC's, but I guess i could work my way around this, I'll certainly give it a try if they don't work in parallel.

Darryl - Thanks for clarifying, the new Televisors do indeed use an audio input, so I'll try what you suggest and let you know if it is successful.

With the 75 ohm output impedance as Darryl mentioned, I think it should work fine just connected to several televisors in parallel.

Do the specs of the televisor give the input impedance?

Thanks Paul, I'll give that a try.

As far as I know there's no specifications given for the Televisor.
