I have a couple of what appear to be DC-DC converters labelled as PMV2-2C-12V-43R with the date? number 7914 underneath. I'd like to know the input and output voltages and the pin-out. Probably 12V out?
Anyone got a datasheet on these? Alan |

Looks more like a reed relay to me, 12V 430ohm coil, DPDT contacts, you should be able to figure out which pins are the coil.

Thanks for the response David. I hadn't thought of relay but a quick check with the multimeter didn't find anything like a coil resistance. And you are correct - it's PMV2-2C-12V-430R not 43R as I listed.
ERG are a company which makes DC-DC converters and some in their catalogue look very like what I have. Unfortunately I can't find an old enough catalogue. |

The ERG (Endicott Research Group) that makes inverters & DC DC converters is an US company. https://ergpower.com/
ERG components was a UK company making switches & relays, they became part of ITW. https://web.archive.org/web/19980215...uk/summary.htm Your component is definitely a relay, if you can't find the coil, it's probably open circuit. A recent thread for another type of ERG reed relay here; https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=202789 David Last edited by factory; 23rd Sep 2023 at 8:18 pm. |

You are indeed correct David - they are relays. I managed to find the 430 ohm winding on one of them and thus soon found two sets of contacts.
Thanks for solving this little puzzle for me. Alan |
