Default Small Bakelite Signalling Lamp

I hope this is in the right section. This lamp was included with a ww1 normal size lamp I bought at the last RWB BVWS auction.
It has JL on the back, which, I assume, stands for Joseph Lucas and has a plastic plug similar to the one for the normal size lamp.
Possibly for use as a toy or for Boy Scouts?
Has anyone seen one of these before?

Some military receivers and transmitters used plug-in 'task lights' to illuminate tuning dials, pocket watches, etc when the equipment was used in a darkened room.

What is the bulb voltage?

Does the bakelite have an external screw thread?

Every 'Lamp, Signalling, Daylight' had one of these as part of the accessories packaged with the unit. I assume it was so the operator could see what he was doing whilst setting up and using the Lamp.

Lamp, Signalling, Daylight will get you lots of Google hits.

Thanks for the replies.
The bulb in the small lamp as found was o/c, couldn't see any information on it, I put in a 2.5 volt bulb to test it. It has a hook on the back.
Searching as Andy suggested, this lamp appears to have been supplied with the WW2 MK 2 signalling lamp rather than the WW1 version.

As mentioned on earlier posts, I had the job of dismantling a large pile of these lamp units back in 1969, to salvage the reflectors, all else was scrap. I ended up with a large box of the little inspection lamps, which may well still be in my loft to this day! I recall there were two variants, some with a bakelite body as in the OP's picture, and some with a chrome-plated metal body.
