Default TEAC X-300 reel to reel

Hi have teac x300 reel to reel can not get it to record cleaned heads sill no joy help please

Are the VU meters wagging about on record or resting at zero? Give us all the info you can.

Do you know any history of the unit, such as, was it working OK but suddenly stopped recording ?

Hi thanks for geting back when putting in to record you can set the line in on uv but when you press the sorce button to tape the uv meters die down and no recording hope you can help thanks

Does it erase a previous recording ?

If erase is not working it could be a problem with the Bias Oscillator, which also produces the Record Bias signal that is used to record.
