Oh well more damage than good. Removed air tunner and to remove fins you need to get bottom bearing out lifting with screwdriver which easy enough. At the top there are 8 bearings obviously seated in a slot. Well to remove them caused major damage to brass rod. Used screwdriver to wedge the bar down to get bearings out but kept slipping and scoring the brass rod. So either I get some mini files and try to remove the burs or in the bin.
There must obviously be a specific tool for that job.
So it makes it near on impossible to fix the damaged fins insitu as you need them out to realigne them and gently file the burs off.

Good news all damage repaired including the fins absolute nightmare putting back together. I found out you need to swing the fins round out of the fixed fins then it's easier to put back and would have been easier taking off with hindsight but lesson learnt.
Now mains switch removed and all wires very grubby and main track is bent up slightly so will need to remove from shaft and see if fixable.
I've also decided to remove HT & LT leads as there never going to be used and do get in the way. It also means I can disconnect the safety switch on side of case which if using batteries cuts radio out. Not gonna be used.
