They look more like the 14 pin dip type packages with headsink pad on top. The one to the left is assembled with its heatsink bracket correctly fitted and bolted to the chassis rear, the other chip at the right, someone's removed the heatsink bracket.

They might be TBA641's Two versions of these were produced, electronically idedical, IIRC, but with different shaped heatsinks/mounting brackets. Haven't found my service manual for the 310. This would answer the question!

You beat me to it!! Yes TBA641 is a very likely candidate. At least it looks like you can still get them.
You're right about the versions, the one with the pad is TBA641A12. Thanks to Google!!! Cheers Alan
