Default Marvel at NASA.....

There's fascinating story here about the technology used to bring back hi-res. images of the lunar surface prior to the manned landings.

Not only that, the guys who have managed to recover the images off 50-year-old tapes.

That article itself, interesting as it is, brings home to me the fact that so much of my life is now recorded on electronic media that I should be taking more interest in the technologies and performing conversions to newer standards where necessary.

I have a LOT to lose. I reckon we all do!

It's akin to the colour recovery of TV programmes recorded on B & W 16mm film from a B & W monitor. Super effort!
