Default Dial cord. B&O 9300 musicentre

Hello everyone.

What's the current favourite replacement for RS dial drive cord these days? This unit has had the mirror CD door cover mech' damaged by a cherub who thought it was an ipod dock. The dial cord has snapped off at the pulley where it starts/ends. Fortunately, the cassette door's mech' is identical, so a rethread shouldn't be too difficult...

There's a thread on this forum that mentions 'Tiger Tails' that's used for necklaces and alike. Anyone tried it?

Regards. SJM.

Just to follow up: I used 9Kg Dacron fishing line for the repair. This was a shade thinner than the original, but adding an extra turn to the drive shaft gave a bit extra grip to the drive. If you run your finger nails along the original cord it has almost a textured feel to it.
Just hope the CD player itself still works. Philips single spot laser... !
